The Cocktail Hour - Evergreen

Friday night in the Kitten household is 'The Cocktail Hour'. Its a great way to end the working week and look forward to the weekend. I love to go into my kitchen with my twinkly fairy lights glowing in the dark and 'create' something that tastes good and looks exciting. You dont need to get dressed up, but somehow a cocktail tastes so much better if you don your best dress and kitten heels!.....

So here goes, for an Evergreen you will need to put in a cocktail shaker 2 shots of vodka, 1 shot of creme de menthe/bols peppermint, 1 shot of Warninks Advocaat and ice. Give it a good shake in your best Carmen Miranda fashion. Pour into a highball glass and top up with lemonade. Decorate with whatever you like, but a Creme de Menthe cherry has to be a must.....

Sit back looking ever so glamorous and imagine you are in the cocktail lounge at The Savoy Hotel and not sitting on the sofa watching Coronation Street on TV.....

Unfortunately I was not looking as glam as this vintage lady does in her green dress. I was sprawled across the settee looking very flushed and one step away from singing my entire repetoire because after two of these minty tasting trifles I was feeling abit merry and squiffy, infact I was abit green around the gills and looking more like Kermit the Frog..... Its not that easy being green!.....

Hope you will visit my blog again for more drink recipes from the Vintage Kittens Cocktail cabinet...... Hic!
