What a week its been. On Monday I decided to move the Chaise Longue by myself..... (surely a real 1950s wannabe housewife would not do these things and wait until a big strong husband returned from work? but as I always say Im a 21st century 1950's housewife!!) I was moving the Chaise from the bedroom upstairs to the sitting room downstairs when my kitten Izzy decided to investigate what I was upto which resulted in me dropping the Chaise on my bare foot. Contrary to popular belief I do not wear my kitten heels day in day out, since I can remember I have always went barefoot even when going outside which has often caused a few stares when I have wandered from the picket fence and walked beyond a normal distance for someone without shoes. Anyway.... the result was a few choice words and bruised toes. If that wasnt enough I then carried the blanket box upstairs which was to replace the space in the bedroom left by the Chaise Longue and promptly dropped the draw in the bottom on the same said foot. Then on Wednesday morning Mr Kitten was up early for work when I heard a thud (some swearing) and then alot of puffing and blowing, when I went to investigate I discovered he had kicked the door with his barefoot as he was trying to avoid kicking Izzy who was racing about..... LOL! He went to work but came home in the afternoon in agony. A visit to the hospital revealed he had broken his toe!!! So its a week off work or possibly a fortnight. Our beautiful kitten has alot to answer for!.....
