We had our old Mercedes 'Margo' taken away today. The picture of her below was taken on her last holiday in Scotland.....
I loved this car. She was a 1980 230E automatic. We bought her very cheap, secondhand, but she still looked in good condition. She had belonged to a doctor and had been passed on to his son who sold it to us. She turned heads when we were out and about, Mr Kitten tells me the reason men stare at her is because they appreciate a classic car, whereas I liked her because she is red..... LOL! We named her Margo after Margo Leadbetter from The Good Life because she had an air of snobbery about her.....
In her heyday she would have been an impressive car but 28 years on, even though she wasn't bad for an old car she was past her best! Someone came to take her away for bits for their car, so she will be dismantled.....Poor Margo.....
