Midnight Feast

I tried and tried to get to sleep, but with Tilly racing about with what I thought was a live rabbit which thankfully turned out to be one of Mr Kittens socks and Mr K snoring at 50 decibels interspersed with his usual nightly ramblings which I have endured most nights since we met, well I couldn't stand it any longer and decided to get up..... Mr K's mother once told me he was a sleep walker as a child and they had to put locks on the windows because he would try to get out, but apart from one late night wander when I found him attempting to leave the house in his boxers (thank god for small mercys!) I've only ever had the middle of the night equivalent of BBC1's Question Time. Tonight it was "The Argentinians are coming" and "Did I know it was the Prop Shaft"? The mind boggles hence the reason for my impromptu midnight (it was actually 1.45am) feast. So I turned on my fairy lights on the landing as I dont think my peepers can stand a 60 watt bulb at that hour and crept downstairs.....

I made myself a cup of Green and Blacks Organic Hot Chocolate with a Marshmallow, and into the sitting room armed with the bowl. You didnt expect me to just have one did you? I love this time of night when the house is quiet and the fairy lights are twinkling in the darkness. The fire was still glowing its orange embers from earlier in the night.....

I certainly wasnt going to battle with the lock on the coal shed at this hour in the pouring rain so I put on a couple of logs and I had a cosy warm fire roaring in no time. I lay down on my faux fur throw in front of the fire with my hot chocolate and a magazine, it was pure bliss!.....

I woke up a couple of hours later with Tilly curled up next to me. The fire had gone out and it was abit chilly so it was off to bed, but not before Tilly let me know that she too was hungry and wanted her midnight/4am feast aswell.....
